Its classic utility is excellent all around the kitchen. This blade is hand forged from an antique sawmill blade estimated at over 100 years old, found in an east Tennessee barn. Forged thin with a fair amount of retained forging texture, lots of taper and a convex grind, this knife is an absolute laser beam through vegetables, with a deep heel that is tall enough to keep your knuckles from hitting the cutting board and enough rock to chop anything you need. Blade is 9" with an over all length of 13.5",  sporting Bocote wood scales on the handle held in by 6 brass pins, and an organic forced patina make it one of a kind.
